Living Room Sessions_dreams edition

All Things Envisioned

I invite you to close your eyes

or settle your gaze on a restful place

I invite you to close your eyes

or settle your gaze on a restful place

I invite you to forget about time

5, 6, 7, 9.. see how we skipped 8?

here, this is fine

and in your mind - repeat after me

I decide how to be

****sound bowl gong

Notice your breath

Without changing anything

Be with the body

Be with your breath

Be with the collective body

Notice that we breathe together

That our cells are fuelled by the same air

That we draw into us the things of this room

And the energy of the hands that placed it there

Notice your breath

Without changing anything

Watch it as it goes

Follow the air in through your nose

Go down with it as it flows into your belly

Into your cells

This is how the outside comes in and casts spells

Pumping Oxygen through your bloodstream

Your heart contracts and expands conjuring the dream

of your life

*****

This is your dream space

*****

“A place for innovation”

This is your dream space

A place for innovation

A vastness where all you know dissolves to zero

A blank space from which new thoughts can grow

Did you know that all of existence has first been imagined?

That all our systems, the powers that be were first - envisioned?

Then built by bodies, by the command of minds

And backed by the spirits of all humankind

With these vital components of mind, body, spirit

Why does it feel like there’s no place for us in it?

In these schedules, in these side hustles, in these negotiations of space

the sum of the capital rat race

In the unnatural pace of life that keeps us so busy

The have-to’s and need-to’s that make us all dizzy

Why is it that we are socialised to feel guilty when we pause?

If this is the effect, what is the cause?

If fatigue is the symptom, how do we heal the source?

I invite you into the portal rest provides

I invite you into the space where your true self resides

I invite you to meet your spirit guides

And discover modes of existence from previous lives

Consider your ancestors

***** |

Consider your ancestors

*****

Consider your ancestors signaling you

Speaking through your body

Where could this ring true

your back, your liver, your hips speak to you

Beckoning to inner dimensions

inviting you to resist given conventions

That don’t belong to liberations

When the system demands more and more

What does it cause you to ignore?

When we are constantly committed to outside economies

What space is left for inner autonomies?

What happens if we stop -

And allow deep rest

What happens if we stop -

Giving our best to perpetuate a legacy of exhaustion

And stop - expecting our bodies to perform like machines

And stop - subscribing to the rush of enforced Western regimes?

Inside me, my ancestors still dream

At my core, I cannot un-be who I have been

I cannot un-see what they have seen:

you

and me

holders of sacred keys to submerged knowledge

Embedded in us is the sun-soaked village

Our bodies are intelligent life forms

Portals propelling us back to the hearth

Each organ a pathway to the ancient technology of the earth

Use rest

Use rest as a tool

As a plane of divine communication

Use rest to cultivate imagination

A deeper way to see

A non-active construction of alternative ways to be

Use refusal

Use refusal to reclaim space

Lay your body down to uplift the divine human race

Recline

Recline to repay a debt

Step out of line and be the first in a while to not let stress

have you

Take time here

*****

Ground through your breath

Watch it as it goes

Follow the air in through your nose

Go down with it as it flows into your belly

Into your cells

This is how the inside goes out and manifests your spells

So breathe deep

Every second is yours to keep

Transform minutes into hours and conjure sleep

Bend the fabric of time

Listen as your every cell chants

This life is mine

Consider affirming daily:

My body is more than just a body

My body is more than just a body

I contain a spirit and an ancestral line

My body is an odyssey through time

I take responsibility for arrested fate

am

not

late

I am an expansion of the ages

Before the interruption of their developmental stages

My people were healers, shamans, and sages

I am a continuation, an occurring

A natural progression, a stirring

I am wisdom coming back

I am the egg hatching from cracks

From inside I emerge anew

Through me I see you

Who might we uncover if we stopped to listen

If we logged out, tuned in, and envisioned

Studied the undefined science of our intuition

What would we feel called to do?

What would rise to the surface as true?

What does intentional rest look like to you?

*****

Stay there

*****

“What does intentional rest look like to you”

Notice your breath

Without changing a thing

Enjoy this place you’re in

Much is possible from inner space cleared

Much is visible from inner navigation adhered

Heed your body

Notice its breath

Witness the collective death

of toxic systems

In a bit, we’ll awaken together

Our cells fuelled by dream space air

By the knowledge that resides in the particles there

In a bit, we’ll exhale and let it go

but you will not un-see what you know

That innovation is in your gut, your lungs, your hands, your liver your blood flow

You are chosen to exist here

Take Your Lifetime

Your every cell creates a new paradigm

through resting,

regenerating

through simply stating

this life is mine

5, 6, 7, ..8…9

You’re back in time

but still free

and in your mind - repeat after me

I decide how to be
